Vice Chair Nardone asked for clarification on ESSER fund spending.

As a resident and JECC educator challenged the committee members to be in the classroom to see how teaching has changed from Covid. 她要求得到尊重和一份公平的合同。

As a resident and educator, and former 杏彩体育 student asked the committee to listen to the needs of the teachers and offer a fair contract.

-Leanna Labriola, 10 Cynthia, Tewksbury,
As an educator of 22 yrs and a Kindergarten teacher at Wessagusset shared stories of her dedication to 韦茅斯 and its students as well as her connections to committee members. She referenced a letter where the offer of help was made to her that she received in 1999 from then State Senator Hedlund congratulating her on the dean's list. 她敦促市长和委员会达成一项更安全、班级规模更小、薪酬更公平的合同。

As a lifelong resident and WHS teacher shared her feelings that the essential position of teachers should be paid a livable wage so that residents may live in the town they grow up in. She shared that teachers are the heart of the district and asked for the committee's loyalty and livable wage.

-Katherine Mueller, 289 North Avenue
As a WHS teacher expressed her frustration in teaching an additional class (now 4 math classes) as the position was not able to be filled and nor a sub hired. 她说，缺乏支持和低工资可能是韦茅斯大学无法吸引新教师和留住老教师的原因。

-Justin Galusha, 41 Rosemary Lane
As a resident, teacher and parent of 杏彩体育 students spoke of the status of the district after Covid and shared that students need healing from the effects and that teachers are the healers. 他要求委员会赋予专家权力和价值，支付他们市场价值，并解决合同问题。

He shared a vineyard parable that he wrote. Comparing the owner to the committee, the groundskeepers to the teachers and the students are grapes and asked for the committee's help in retaining the groundskeepers and nurturing the grapes.

-Kathleen Mahoney, Adjustment counselor at Chapman
Working 18 years in the district shared that there are 2 guidance counselors for 1195 students at Chapman and that the 马SCA (Massachusetts School Counselor Association) recommendation is for a counselor per 250 students. 恭敬地请求在查普曼资助第三位指导顾问。

As a parent and teacher in Braintree thanked teachers for their dedication to the students especially during Covid and shared support of a fair settled contract for all teachers.

-Alicia Lyons, 90 Taft Rd
As a parent and educator in another district trying to also settle a contract express support for a settled fair contract and expressed worry for the social emotional needs of students.

-Marykay White, 138 Academy Avenue
As a teacher in a neighboring town expressed support for a fair compensation contract and an increase in counselors due to social emotional needs and urged committee members to visit classrooms.

Superintendent Wargo advised that there have been 2 changes to the calendar:
-A full day off for students and full PD day for staff on March 5, 2023
-a half day for students and ½ PD for staff on May 14, 2023.
